Todd McCloskey
Todd is a natural teacher who brings his passion for learning and teaching into the treatment room. Initially Todd had his heart set on conventional medicine for a career as he studied biology at Temple University. He soon realized that the concept of health and well-being was missing from his education. Todd then turned to Chinese medicine to begin to understand how to create and sustain health. He completed his Masters of Acupuncture and Doctorate in Chinese Medicine at Tai Sophia in Laurel Maryland.
Ever a student, Todd has continued to study with some of the greatest teachers in Chinese Medicine. He trained with Lonny Jarret , a famous acupuncturist, Jeffery Yuen, a renowned Daoist priest and healer and Andrew Neuget-Head an extremely accomplished acupuncturist who apprenticed under several famous traditional Chinese doctors.
Beyond Acupuncture , Todd is a certified Zero Balancer. Zero Balancing (ZB) is a form of bodywork where the practitioner balances the structure and energy of the body. Designed by Dr. Fritz Smith D.O., M.D., L.Ac., ZB utilizes both the Western understanding of structure and the Eastern understanding of energy. Todd also incorporates traditional Chinese massage called Tui Na into his practice for a variety of conditions. It is not uncommon for Todd’s treatments to weave together the best of acupuncture, body work and Herbal Medicine.

Sam draws on his experience as a highly sensitive person with a hypermobile body to provide targeted therapeutic care for individuals whose bodily experiences do not conform to normative standards. He especially enjoys working with spiritual seekers and survivors of trauma who are interested in integrating challenging life experiences through mindful engagement with somatic signals and holding patterns. He supports his work with a daily movement meditation practice based on traditional Chinese martial arts, which helps to ground his bodily awareness and improve his responsiveness and sensitivity to subtle feedback.

Stephanie ("Steph") Bean
A graduate of Potomac Massage Training Institute with over 20 years of professional massage experience and an Associate’s Degree in Health Education, Steph has made a career of working with people to better understand and support their own health and healing. Steph has training in traditional massage work, neuromuscular therapy, trauma integration, and also has experience working with complicated medical needs and with people in all stages of life and at the end of life. Other specialized training includes Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, a very gentle modality that supports the nervous system. Steph’s outlook is that we have just what we need in our bodies, but we all need help from time to time to access those internal resources. Regular body work in addition to other health supporting behaviors can really improve our quality of life.
Off the job, Steph is very involved in family, their faith community, getting lost in a good book, and enjoying nature whenever possible.
